Story 01 Extraction shooters Delta Force official

Delta Force Lands on PS5 and Xbox Today With Warfare, Extraction, and Black Hawk Down

Team Jade's free-to-play shooter Delta Force launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on August 19, one year after its PC debut. Console players get all three pillars: large-scale Warfare, the Tarkov-style Operations extraction mode where you loot a raid and try to escape with the gear, and the Black Hawk Down co-op campaign as free DLC. Cross-progression carries operators, Battle Pass, and currency across PC, mobile, and console, and the build ships with aim assist and crossplay.

Story 02 Extraction shooters ARC Raiders official

ARC Raiders Swings the Ban Hammer at Cheaters With Denuvo and Anybrain in Update 1.42.0

Embark Studios shipped ARC Raiders update 1.42.0 on August 18 and used it to confirm an anti-cheat crackdown. Working with Anybrain and Denuvo Anti-Cheat, the studio says it banned a large batch of accounts running recently popular cheat software, and it is tightening detection of economy exploits, teaming, and matchmaking abuse. The patch also offsets map conditions by region instead of a single global schedule, so players outside peak-hour timezones stop missing timed events.

Valorant Benches Breeze and Brings Back Abyss for Act 5 and Champions 2026

Abyss, the map with bottomless drop-offs and no edge walls, returns to ranked and Deathmatch while Breeze rotates out. The same pool runs at Valorant Champions 2026 in Shanghai from September 24 to October 18. Act 5 lasts five weeks instead of the usual seven, and the patch adds agent and melee-skin bug fixes.

NightRunner Is a Co-op Extraction Shooter Where You Defend a Moving Train, Playtest Hits Steam in September

German studio 314 Arts announced NightRunner on August 18, a 1 to 4 player co-op extraction shooter set after a solar catastrophe. Instead of a fixed base, squads defend a moving train called a wagon while scavenging, blending extraction runs, boss dungeons, and wave-survival tower defense. Runs are roguelite, with permanent Runner-Tech upgrades between them, and you only keep loot if you reach the destination. A public Steam playtest is planned for September, with full release in 2027.
