Synduality: Echo of Ada Ends Online Play in 2027 and Becomes a Solo PvE Game

Bandai Namco announced on September 26 that Synduality: Echo of Ada, its mech extraction shooter on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, will end online service in or after May 2027. New events stop after the October 2026 content, SYN COINS (the paid currency) leave the store on December 18, and the exact shutdown date arrives in March 2027. Owners get a free offline update that keeps the loot-and-extract loop with no rival players.

Delta Force Launches Detonation, a 5v5 Bomb-Defusal Mode, on PC and Mobile

Delta Force opened the Detonation beta on September 27, a 5v5 bomb mode where attackers plant and defenders stop the plant or defuse it before it blows. It is live now on PC and mobile, and console players get it later in 2026. The mode arrived during the game's second anniversary, alongside a roadmap that promises an Unreal Engine 5 Warfare map in November and the Siege: Valkyrie Operations map in early 2027.

Swizzy and Pixie Win the $2 Million Fortnite Global Championship, Swizzy's Second Straight

Swizzy and Pixie won the Fortnite Global Championship in Antwerp, Belgium, on September 27 after 12 duo matches across two days at the Lotto Arena. It is Swizzy's second world title in a row after his 2025 trios win in Lyon. During the broadcast, Epic Games also outlined its 2027 competitive plans, which include dedicated Reload and Zero Build FNCS championships.

Gears of War: E-Day Reviews Land October 1, but Critics Only Played the Campaign

Gears of War: E-Day reviews go live October 1 at 6am PT, about an hour before Premium Edition early access opens. Reviewers only had the 14-hour campaign, so launch scores will not cover Versus or the new 12-player Horde Siege mode. The full launch and Game Pass release follow on October 6, and on PC the game needs a GPU with hardware ray tracing.

The Witcher 3 Remastered Unlocks September 29 as a Free 45 GB Upgrade With No Preload

CD Projekt Red confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered goes live September 29 at 10am UTC as a free upgrade for existing owners. The download is about 45 GB on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series and about 50 GB for the separate Switch 2 version, with no preload. Base game owners also get the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions free, and reviews go up a day early.

Solo Extraction RPG HOPE 01 Ships Eight Patches in Three Days, Including a Dupe Fix

Bending Boy Games, the studio behind the single-player pixel-art extraction RPG HOPE 01, posted eight patches on Steam between September 25 and 28. They buffed loot on the HAB 01 area, fixed a controller bug that duplicated ammo and fabricks (the crafting material), and reverted a change that was killing bosses by accident. The $11.99 early access game launched September 15 and sits at 92 percent positive on Steam.
