Micro Center Makes RTX 5090 Buyers Show ID and Sign a No-Export Pledge

A Reddit user reported that Micro Center in Tustin, California made them sign a one-page form and scan their driver's licence before buying an RTX 5090, Kotaku reported on October 3. The form asks buyers to state their intended use, give a home address, promise not to resell or give the card away, and keep it in the United States, stamped "NO EXPORT - NO EXCEPTIONS". Other buyers reported similar checks, which appear tied to US export limits on GPUs.
