Solo Extraction RPG HOPE 01 Ships Eight Patches in Three Days, Including a Dupe Fix

Bending Boy Games, the studio behind the single-player pixel-art extraction RPG HOPE 01, posted eight patches on Steam between September 25 and 28. They buffed loot on the HAB 01 area, fixed a controller bug that duplicated ammo and fabricks (the crafting material), and reverted a change that was killing bosses by accident. The $11.99 early access game launched September 15 and sits at 92 percent positive on Steam.

Discussion Topics

  1. Is a solo extraction game still an extraction game without other players to fear?
  2. Eight patches in three days: great dev support or a sign it launched too early?
  3. Would you pay $12 for single-player extraction over free-to-play PvPvE?
