007 First Light Gets Path Tracing and DLSS 4.5 on September 15

IO Interactive is adding path tracing and Nvidia DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction to spy game 007 First Light on September 15. Path tracing is a heavier lighting method that follows how light actually bounces around a scene for more realistic shadows and reflections, and it usually costs a lot of frames without upscaling to claw them back. The studio says the game has sold 4 million copies since its May 27 launch. Nvidia's 616.92 driver already adds support for the update.

  2. Does a graphics update pull you back to a single-player game you already finished?
  3. 4 million sold in three months. Is 007 First Light the sleeper hit of 2026?
