STALZONE's Tulpa Season Leans Into Horror, and It Still Refuses to Wipe Your Gear

STALZONE, the free-to-play Chernobyl extraction MMO that used to be called StalCraft: X, revealed its horror-themed Tulpa season at the FPS Games Show on September 3. Its core pitch stays intact: your character, faction standing, reputation, and equipped weapons carry forward permanently, with no seasonal wipe. Only the loot you grab on a run is at risk until you extract alive. The Tulpa season adds a psychological-horror layer where stalkers stop trusting each other.

Discussion Topics

  1. Do seasonal wipes keep extraction shooters fair, or just punish players who take a break?
  2. Is 'never wipes' a smart hook or a slow slide into power creep?
  3. Would you drop Tarkov for a persistent extraction MMO that keeps your gear?
  4. Does psychological horror belong in a loot-and-extract shooter, or is it a gimmick?
