NBA 2K27 Launches as the First 2K to Drop Last-Gen, With Microtransactions Intact

NBA 2K27 released worldwide on September 4 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC, following early access on August 26. It is the first NBA 2K to skip PS4 and Xbox One. The Standard Edition costs $69.99 with Victor Wembanyama on the cover, and it is a flagship title for Nvidia's DLSS 5, which only runs on RTX 50 GPUs. Virtual currency and paid shortcuts return as the series' long-running sore point.
