Nvidia's DLSS 5 Launches on RTX 50 Cards Only, Leaving RTX 40 Owners Out

Nvidia released DLSS 5 on September 3, starting with NBA 2K27, and it runs only on GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs, laptops, and GeForce Now. DLSS is Nvidia's AI upscaling that boosts frame rates by rendering at a lower resolution and rebuilding the image. Using DLSS 5 needs a new Game Ready driver. RTX 40 and older cards stay on DLSS 4.5, which is the split fueling the backlash.
