Gray Zone Warfare's 0.5 Update Adds Player Hideouts and Drug Smuggling as It Jumps to Alpha

MADFINGER Games detailed Gray Zone Warfare's 0.5 update, its biggest yet, in reporting on August 28. Gray Zone Warfare is a hardcore PvPvE extraction shooter, meaning you raid an open map, fight AI and other players, then try to escape with your loot. The update adds a buildable hideout for crafting and resource storage, drug production and smuggling runs through a black market, new playable characters, fresh locations, and new weapons. It also moves the game from pre-alpha to alpha. MADFINGER put it in this fall with no exact date.

Discussion Topics

  1. Does a hideout and crafting loop fix Gray Zone Warfare, or is it copying Tarkov's homework two years late?
  2. Drug smuggling runs: fresh risk-reward, or a grind wrapped in a new skin?
  3. Pre-alpha to alpha after all this time. Are you buying in now or waiting for 1.0?
  4. Which extraction shooter owns your fall: Gray Zone, ARC Raiders, or Tarkov?
