SCP-Style Extraction Shooter Active Matter Locks a September 15 Launch on PC and Consoles

Publisher Gaijin Entertainment and developer Team Matter set Active Matter's 1.0 launch for September 15 on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, and pushed a stability patch on August 28. Active Matter is a PvPvE extraction shooter set in a collapsing multiverse full of gravity anomalies and SCP-style objects (SCP is the horror wiki about contained anomalous items). The standard edition runs $29.99. Anyone who bought the earlier Gaijin Store early version gets the Steam release free with linked progress.

Discussion Topics

  1. Does the extraction genre have room for another launch, or is the market already full?
  2. SCP anomalies inside a loot-and-extract loop: gimmick, or the hook that sets it apart?
  3. Would your squad drop $30 on a new extraction shooter sight unseen?
  4. Console launch day one: confident, or a stability gamble worth waiting out?
