Gravhounds Is a New Co-op Extraction Shooter Where Dog-Headed Squads Loot Alien Worlds

Studio Octopus Panic revealed Gravhounds at Gamescom on August 26, a four-player co-op extraction shooter that mixes looting with base building. Squads of dog-headed fighters land on hostile planets, build turrets and defenses, survive escalating creature waves, then extract with resources. Players get an anti-gravity gun to fling loot to teammates and a rocket pack for movement. Early access is targeted for November 2 on Steam and Xbox, with playtest sign-ups open now.

Discussion Topics

  1. Co-op building plus extraction: fresh hook, or Fortnite-meets-Tarkov mashup?
  2. Does the extraction genre need more PvE-first games or fewer?
  3. Would dog-headed fighters and an anti-grav gun get your squad to try it?
  4. November 2 early access: day one, or wait for reviews?
