NC's Cinder City Shows Post-Apocalyptic Seoul in a New Gamescom Trailer, Still Aiming for 2026

NC (formerly NCSoft) and developer BigFire Games showed a new cinematic lore trailer for Cinder City during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25. Cinder City is an open-world third-person tactical shooter set in a ruined near-future Seoul where players, called Cinderknights, fight mutated creatures and rival factions after an alien invasion. Once codenamed Project LLL, it ran a pre-alpha playtest in mid-August and is still targeting a second-half 2026 launch on PC and consoles.
