Delta Force Goes Free on Consoles and Peaks Above 200K Players

Team Jade launched Delta Force on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on August 19, bringing its free-to-play mix of Warfare battles, PvPvE Operations (where squads fight rival players and AI while extracting loot), and the single-player Black Hawk Down campaign to console at no cost. Cross-progression carries operators, Battle Pass, and currency between PC, mobile, and console through one LIPASS account. The console debut pushed peak concurrent players past 200,000, the game's highest activity since launch.

Discussion Topics

  1. Free-to-play Delta Force on console: real Battlefield 6 competition or a warm-up act?
  2. Does crossplay put controller players at a disadvantage against PC in Operations?
  3. Is a free Black Hawk Down campaign enough to pull you off ARC Raiders or Tarkov?
  4. 200K peak: momentum that lasts, or a launch-week spike?
