Marathon's Vault Breaker PvE Mode Shuts Down Today, and Unspent Vault Data Vanishes With It

Bungie closes Marathon's experimental Vault Breaker mode on August 18, the PvE test it extended from an August 4 end date. Vault Data, the mode's currency, disappears when the mode goes offline, so anything left in the Armory is lost. Emblems, weapon styles, and gear bought before the deadline carry into standard Marathon, the studio's PvPvE extraction shooter. Bungie is using the test to build the game's first permanent PvE mode, arriving in Season 3 on September 22.
