Battlefield 6's Second Beta Weekend Adds a New York Map and Lets You Pick Your Mode

EA and DICE have detailed Battlefield 6's second open beta window, which runs August 14 to 17 after the first weekend peaked at 521,000 concurrent players on Steam. Weekend two adds Empire State, a New York City map, plus Rush, Squad Deathmatch, Closed Weapons Conquest and Breakthrough, with rotating playlists and a custom search that finally lets players queue for specific maps and modes. The beta client has already been updated to version 1.000.004, a download between roughly 380MB and 3GB depending on platform.

  2. Custom search in a beta: overdue basic feature or proof DICE is actually listening?
  3. Can Battlefield 6 beat its own 521K peak now that the novelty has worn off?
  4. Closed Weapons Conquest: honest skill check or boring loadout jail?
