Battlefield 6's Open Beta Peaks at 521K on Steam and Outdraws Every Call of Duty

EA's Battlefield 6 open beta hit an all-time series high of 521,079 concurrent players on Steam, edging past the Call of Duty launcher's record by roughly 30,000 and more than tripling Battlefield 2042's 2021 beta peak of about 156,000. EA estimates over 20 million players joined across PC, PS5, and Xbox. A second free beta weekend runs August 14 to 17 with new maps, modes, and a custom server browser, ahead of the October 10 launch.
