This Weekend's Free Games: NBA 2K26, PowerWash Simulator 2, and a New Quake Episode

Several free offers are live right now. NBA 2K26 is free to play all week, August 7 to 14, on Xbox, Steam, and Switch, with progress carrying over if you buy in. Xbox Free Play Days opens PowerWash Simulator 2 and Beast of Reincarnation to all Xbox players through the weekend, no Game Pass required. Bethesda released a free new Quake episode, Dawn of the Machine, for anyone who owns Quake, marking the shooter's 30th anniversary.
