Switch 2 Passes 23.68 Million Units, Beating GameCube's Full Lifetime Total

Nintendo's financial results, published August 6, put Switch 2 lifetime hardware sales at 23.68 million units, already ahead of GameCube's full lifetime total of 21.74 million. The console moved 3.82 million hardware units and 9.46 million software units in the quarter, a 9.2% year over year jump in software, and Nintendo says demand remains strong heading into a fall lineup led by Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave in September.
