Nvidia Sells RTX 50 Cards at MSRP for QuakeCon While Prices Spike Everywhere Else

RTX 50 series prices jumped as much as 30 to 50% in South Korea this week as TSMC wafer costs and $20 GDDR7 memory modules ripple through the supply chain, pushing an RTX 5090 past $5,100 in some markets. Nvidia is using QuakeCon, running August 6 through 9, to sell Founders Edition RTX 5090, 5080, and 5070 cards at MSRP while supplies last, a rare discount window against a market where board partners are also planning further hikes.
