ARC Raiders tests a PvE-only extraction mode in China with friendly fire off by default

Embark Studios is running a China-exclusive regional beta of "Rebellion Incident," a PvE configuration of ARC Raiders where friendly fire between players defaults to zero. Players can trigger a mutiny deliberately with a key press to unlock PvP, but the mode cranks up AI robot threat density to push squads toward cooperation instead. The test is tied to the Chinese ISBN licence ARC Raiders secured to operate in the country. ARC Raiders has passed 16 million copies sold globally. No Western release date for Rebellion has been confirmed.
